Once Upon

Film buffs have been given the first tantalising glimpse as to what they can expect from Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

The newly released images already look as iconic as anything from Tarantino’s classic back catalogue, and will be sure to excite fans who have followed his work over the years.

After years of conversations about this movie, the first look at Quentin Tarantino‘s ninth film have finally arrived. Get ready to bask in the classic Los Angeles glory of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

The first look arrives thanks to an exclusive reveal from Vanity Fair. The look contains an entire slew of photos from the movie, showing stars Leonardo DiCaprioBrad Pitt, and Margot Robbie in action.

With a title that references both the film industry and Sergio Leone, it’s hard to imagine any director better suited for the material of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood than Quentin Tarantino, and thanks an exclusive reveal from Vanity Fair, we now have a taste of the stylish, self-consciously retro picture to come.

As you can see, the film features Leonardo DiCaprio as aging Western TV star Rick Dalton, along with Brad Pitt as Rick’s stunt double and friend Cliff Booth and Al Pacino as Rick’s agent Marvin Shwarz. The role that’s so far drawn the most attention, however, is surely Margot Robbie as the Sharon Tate, the actress who was famously murdered in her own home by the followers of Charles Manson.

Other confirmed cast members, meanwhile, include Damon Herriman as Manson himself and Rafał Zawierucha as Tate’s husband Roman Polanski.

Vanity Fair have released stills from the movie and they look absolutely mesmerising; sun drenched, retro shots which pull you right into the heart of the 1960s.

Stars Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Leonardo DiCaprio can all be seen, dressed completely in character and channelling the dark underbelly of 1960s tinseltown. And so what can we expect from this take on vintage LA, Tarantino style?

According to the IMDb synopsis:

A faded TV actor and his stunt double embark on an odyssey to make a name for themselves during the Helter Skelter reign of terror in 1969 Los Angeles.

Scoot McNairy, who portrays businessman Bob Gilbert in the upcoming film, made the following remarks to Collider regarding Tarantino’s ‘fascinating’ filmmaking process:

All of Quentin’s movies, I feel, are so different, in so many ways, but they’re all so great because they’re done by such a great filmmaker.
